Oxford Street requires parents to work side by side with their child’s teacher in the classroom on a weekly or bi-weekly basis; depending on if your child is enrolled full time or part time. The “parent help” shift is a 2 hr. block of time, either in the morning or in the afternoon.
In the beginning of the year, parents fill out a request form for the days they are available and the office then creates a schedule based on those forms. If for whatever reason parents cannot commit to work their parent help shift, they may try to switch shifts with another parent or let the office know.
Each classroom also holds a monthly meeting where parents can come together to meet, greet, and share ideas and concerns with one another.
